Top 10 Tips for Mums

BODY:

Exfoliate : This can be done in the shower and helps in removing dead skin cells. Exfoliating gloves are a great way to do this effectively and easily.

Moisturise : Mositurise your whole body. This is helpful in keeping your skin firm and hydrated.

Tanning: Before applying fake tan make sure you have exfoliated and moisturised some time before. This will make tan more even and less likely to streak. When going over surfaces such as knees and elbows remember that tan shows up darker, so only apply a small amount.

Sunscreen: Use a sunscreen. The sun can be harmful to your skin, even when you don't get burnt. Try to wear a sunscreen every day, a tinted moisturiser with SPF is an easy option.

Water: Make sure you drink enough water. Water isn't only necessary for your body, but vital for your skin's health and elasticity.

NAILS:

Toenails: When filing your toe nails make sure you only ever file straight across, in one direction. This helps to avoid ingrown toenails. Fingernails may be shaped as desired, but avoid a sawing motion as this is rough on nails.

Base Coat: When applying nail polish ensure you use a base coat. This will make polish last longer and avoid staining.

Pencil Trick: If your nails look unclean you can use a regular white pencil and run it under the ends! This makes nails instantly look cared for and hygienic.

HAIR REMOVAL:

Plucking: You may want to pluck your eyebrows between waxes. Pluck the hair in the direction of the hair growth. The eyebrow area can be sensitive, so numb the area with ice first if you need to.

MAKEUP

Eyeliner: When applying eyeliner, start at the middle and work your way out. By not applying right to the edge of your eyes (near your nose) your eyes will look wider!

Try applying white eyeliner to the underneath; this will also create an illusion of bigger eyes.
